Weekend Features: Amazing Japanese Commercial
It’s an Art World
This Japanese commercial shows a wooden ball rolling down a sloped xylophone and playing the song “Jesu, The Joy of Man’s Desiring”, by Johann Sebastian Bach. Quite a feat and though I don’t know for sure how much of this was real, I’d like to think it was. An incredible masterpiece. I can’t imagine the amount of time it took to get it right:
For those of you unfamiliar with the song, here’s a great piano rendition of it. This version was the end credits to the 1997 Japanese animation film, The End of Evangelion, which concluded the popular Japanese series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Hey, hows about someone do some Evangelion art and screenprints yea?
“The Thing” by Scott Johnson
Scott Johnson made an unofficial movie poster for “The Thing” remake. 19″ x 25″ 7-color screenprint, edition of 50, signed/numbered, and cost $40. There is also a coffee stained variant with an edition of 6 that cost $100. On sale now HERE.
