Thinkspace in Culver City, CA is honored to be working with producer/director/writer/collector Morgan Spurlock (The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, Supersize Me) on his debut curatorial project. New Blood aims to showcase artists that Spurlock feels have changed the art world forever and has in turn given each of them the chance to invite a protégé of their choice to profile alongside their own work in this very special exhibit.
Opening next Saturday, April 28th 5-9pm and on display until May 19th.

“Jim Norton, Ohio 2012” comedy show by Mark Englert
To commemorate the taping of his upcoming one hour special “Please Be Offended” to air on EPIX, comedian Jim Norton will be releasing his first limited edition screen printed gig poster for sale to those attending both the early and late show tapings at the Ohio Theater Saturday, April 28th.
Designed by Mark Englert (with Jimmy of course) this print will be screened on 110# black stock with gold metallics and red inks. Jim Norton will sign each and every one of these 18″ X 24″ prints (AP’s included) and in the event there are leftovers from the show they will be made available online at some point soon after. There will be 200 available to ticket holders of both the early (100 available then) and late show (100 available then) tapings. 50 AP’s will be signed by Jim Norton as well as the artist Mark Englert through Mark’s BigCartel storefront. “Earth Day Tree” by Ian Millard
The next release from Ian Millard is the 4th annual Earth Day Tree prints. This years “Earth Day Tree” is a diptych print set. The 2 prints will be sold together in a matching number set. Each of the prints are created using 2 hand cut stencils and spraypaint. The colors of the prints will be custom, meaning you get to choose them. Below a few samples of different colors below. But you are welcome to get creative and pick your own color scheme.
Prints come signed, numbered and with a hand made certificate of authenticity. Like past years there will be a regular paper edition (Ed of 25, $100 shipped) along with some variants… gold foil paper edition of 9 ($135 shipped), silver foil paper edition of 6 ($150 shipped) and a stretched canvas edition of 3 ($325 shipped).

Here is Chuck Sperry’s gig poster for last nights Refused show at The Warfield in San Francisco, CA. It is a 20″ x 32″ 4-color Screenprint, signed/numbered edition of 125 for the regular edition, and the gold variant has an edition size of 20.
