“James Bond 50th Anniversary” posters by Max Dalton

This weekend at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco CA, prepare for a marathon on James Bond movies in celebration of its 50th Anniversary. Through Spoke Art, Max Dalton created 2 new posters for the event. For information on attending this event, check out Castro Theatre’s website schedule HERE.

Both posters by Max Dalton are 18″ x 24″ Giclees, limited editions of 250, and cost $50 each. If you attend the screening, you can buy them there, and in addition, the first 15 attendees of each screening will get a free lobby card.
Any remaining posters will go on sale Monday, April 23rd at 3pm PDT HERE.

Spoke Arts exclusive partnership with the historic Castro Theatre in San Francisco has released a trio of new prints by Adam Juresko to accompany last weekends triple screening of films by Wong Kar Wai: “2046”, “Days of Being Wild”, and “In the Mood for Love”. They are each 12″ x 16″ Giclees, numbered edition of 200, and cost $25 each or $60 for the set.

Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ series from Mondo

Mondo just announced an ‘Avengers’ series in the works by debuting 2 new posters by Olly Moss (Black Widow) and Tom Whalen (Hawkeye). Other posters to come later (one poster for each Avengers character, and one poster as a collage). The Moss poster will go on sale Thursday, April 19th and the Whalen will go on sale Friday, April 20th. Both will be at a random time HERE.

Details of an “E.T.” poster by Dan McCarthy surfaced on Slashfilm as part of a ‘Summer of 1982’ movie screenings at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin TX.

Cult Cinema Sunday featuring “True Romance”

On the 3rd Sunday of every month at Fruit in Hull UK, Cult Cinema Sunday holds a film night featuring cinematic treats from the vaults of film history. Each screening is accompanied by a poster designed with local artists and designers first made available on movie night, then in an online sale.

This Sunday’s (April 15th) movie screening is “True Romance” and has 2 posters created by James Fenwick and Domanic Li. Each are A3 16.5″ x 11.7″ digital print on 300gm heavy weight paper, signed/numbered editions of 50, and cost £6 ($10US).
They will be available on the night of the screening, and online on Monday, April 16th at 12pm GMT (4am PDT) HERE.

The first poster in a new ‘Looney Tunes’ series from Mondo is “Duck Dodgers” by Tom Whalen. It was first seen during Mondo’s Gallery opening last month. It is an 18″ x 24″ Screenprint, numbered edition of 320, and cost $40. Limited quantities available.

New poster from Fix the Chapel

FixTheChapel.com is the grassroots effort of Night of the Living Dead fans to restore and preserve the chapel in Evans City Cemetery, a cinematic landmark from the George A. Romero classic horror film originally released in 1968. Fundraising activities include donations and merchandise sales through this web site and online auctions, as well as raising awareness at horror conventions and via social networks such as Facebook and YouTube. A goal of $50,000 is being sought.

They have a new poster available with artwork by Rick Schreck of House of 1000 tattoos. It features the cause’s head honcho, Gary Streiner, fixing the chapel with some glue! It is a 11″ x 17″ poster and cost $15. Support a good cause! On sale now HERE.
