As previously reported, Malleus is in the works of making an epic 9-poster set based on movies by famous Italian horror movie director/writer, Dario Argento. These will be presented and released via Dark City Gallery. The first movie in line is “L’uccello dalle piume di cristallo” (aka The Bird With The Crystal Plumage). If you have been following Malleus’ blog, you would have seen a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at the creation of this poster (with amusing setbacks) leading to this stunning final result of this instant classic Malleus.
“L’uccello dalle piume di cristallo” is a 20″ x 28″ 8-color Screenprint with an edition of 175 (£40, $62US). There is also a variant version (w/ sparkling blood) that has an edition of 70 (£60, $93US). These will be on sale Monday, January 2nd 2012 HERE.

Mondo announced today of their new partnership with Studio Ghibli, the renown Japanese animation and film studio which have featured classic anime movies such as Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away and Ponyo. The first poster in this series is “My Neighbor Totoro” by Olly Moss.

I just discovered this artist’s work the other day and find it very imaginative! Heartstrand has a whole slew of movie posters available, so there are certainly one or more that will catch your eye! This poster is by Matt Verges, and is the first release by Three Barrels Ltd. I really like Three Barrels objective: “To make collectible movie posters in tribute to our favorite films of the past while raising awareness towards charitable causes and endeavors of the present.”
This poster measures in at 24 x 36, is a 5-color screen print including a split fountain and a transparent layer. The regular blue edition is limited to 150, and the red variant is limited to 50. On sale now HERE.
