Posters from Frightfest Originals

Frightfest Originals are releasing a sneak peek of their third limited edition screenprint for this summer’s main event. Audition, by Peter Strain – the print measures 18×24 on to 315gsm and will go on sale, with six other prints, in the foyer of The Empire, Leicester Square over the UK August bank holiday.

Along with the previously announced Big Bad Wolves and Nosferatu, there will be a new print by UK poster legend Graham Humphreys, the latest in animal home invasion by Luke Insect and Nat Marsh riffing on the unimprovable Wake In Fright. As a pre-festival surprise, they’re also dropping a Bram Stoker’s Dracula print, by Godmachine, on Thursday 8th via @frightfestorigi, for six hours only – after that it will only be available at Frightfest events.

All prints will have an extremely small pre-sale open to twitter followers only, two days before the festival. Except Dracula – a one off sale

“The Swimmer” by Jeremy Saunders

Jeremy Saunders will have a new print for the Burt Lancaster film, “The Swimmer” available next week. It is an 18″ x 24″ Giclee, signed/numbered edition of 10, and cost $60 Aust.

Odd City Entertainment is excited to announce a very limited licensed run of legendary animator Don Bluth’s classic animated adventure fantasy film, “The Secret of NIMH” by Mark Lone. I loved this movie as a kid an Mark did an incredible job on this poster in capturing the spirit of the film. It is a 36″ x 24″ 10-color Screenprint w/ 3 metallic inks, limited edition of 140, and cost $55. On sale Thursday, August 8th at a random time HERE.

“Being a fan of 80’s animation, I must admit, I wore out my VHS tape of The Secret of NIMH, my favorite Don Bluth movie. I learned so much during the process of making this piece while studying as much as I could from the movie concept sketches and character designs (some even by Don himself). I realized after starting this print that I have always drawn owls (and I have drawn a few of owls) very dark and ominous, much like “the great owl”… it was at that point I recognized how much this movie had impacted my artistic style subconsciously, even when I was a kid. So thank you to everyone involved with the making of such a great movie.” -Mark Lone

Odd City Entertainment is excited to announce in conjunction with Paramount Theatre, a limited edition screen print for a screening of Joel and Ethan Coen’s Academy Award winning movie, Fargo, at Stateside at the Paramount on Wed., August 21st in Austin, Texas. The screening is part of Paramount Theatre’s Summer Classic Film Series which features Film Noir 101; classics that recall the history of Noir while taking it in a new direction.

“Fargo” by Gabz will be available in both Regular and Variant prints and both will have a GID layer with the Variant printed on a pearlescent paper. See pics below for full details. Print Club London presents: “Summer Screenprints – 16 Artists, 16 Prints, £40 each”

To coincide with Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House, Print Club London teamed up with them & Film4 to curate a screen printed poster exhibition in the newly opened West Wing Galleries. This special collaboration will see some of the most talented and innovative illustrators from the UK and USA design and produce 16 new and original screen prints, inspired by the each of the films screened this year. All the prints will be produced in limited editions of 200, signed by the artist and available to buy at £40 each.
