Premiering to rave reviews at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, THE KINGS OF SUMMER is a unique coming-of-age comedy about three teenage friends – Joe (Nick Robinson), Patrick (Gabriel Basso) and the eccentric and unpredictable Biaggio (Moises Arias) – who, in the ultimate act of independence, decide to spend their summer building a house in the woods and living off the land. Free from their parents’ rules, their idyllic summer quickly becomes a test of friendship as each boy learns to appreciate the fact that family – whether it is the one you’re born into or the one you create – is something you can’t run away from.

  1. I love to see different styles, from different artist, on the same subject! I still wana see one movie, made from different directors, at the same time!

  2. I have not heard about this film,
but now that I have I will definitely.

Just b looking at the posters(i try to stay away from trailers, too revealing and it ruins the suprises),
it kind of reminds me of “The Goonies”

The posters are all awesome looking,
but my favorit is number 2 from the top.

Have a nice summer everybody 🙂

  4. I saw this movie for the first time at a Volunteer pre-screening at Sundance, before even the first screening. This movie is amazing.

  5. I was an extra in this movie last summer! It was an awesome experience and I’d love to have the posters as a keepsake.

  8. The Kings of Summer is my new favourite movie! My friends and I got invited to a pre-screening and haven’t stopped talking about it since. I’m dragging my family out in the rain to see it tomorrow.

“THE KINGS OF SUMMER” (A) One of my favorite movies of the year. In fact as of now, my favorite movie of the year. An excellent story of adolescence, friendship and family. Excellent direction and screenplay. Excellent casting and performances by the three lead actors, especially NICK ROBINSON, who has a big career ahead of him. Very touching at times. Very funny at times. Glued to the screen every second of this marvelous movie. I highly recommend it.

  10. This movie is awesome!!! Saw it at a private screening and had the pleasure of meeting the writer!!!! I love all of the posters and each of them portray the movie and characters in a uniquely fantastic way! The artists are incredible and have inspired me to do my own poster!

  11. Heard so many rave reviews of this film. Including all the comments on this site. I so want to see this more then anything out there. Any besides that, the lead character has my last name. How awesome is that. Hopefully il attend this weekend. The pictures all look amazing.

  12. I went and saw this movie tonight! I loved it! I thought it just felt natural and real. I laughted a ton but felt the emotion that these characters were going though. We need more movies like this!

  13. I am so excited about this film and really cant even wait to own a copy of my own when it comes out on dvd, it looks so fun, happy and looks just how I wish I spent my summers without a care in the world.

  14. Just watched the trailer, had no idea about this movie. looks enjoyable. And some art by Ryan and Kelly makes it even nicer…

  15. Saw this film last night at the deadCENTER film fest in Oklahoma City. Would be fantastic to own art for one of the funniest movies I’ve seen all year.

  16. Saw it in previews with my 14 year old. He immediately wanted to run away and build his own house. Finally Nick Offernan gets to talk the way he really wants to in Parks & Recreation without network censors.

  17. These are all fantastic posters! I’ve seen the movie twice now and I’d watch it again and again. Fantastic film!

  18. I wish I was as talented as any of these artists. Amazing job all around. Now to see the movie of course.

  19. Warning: This will be the best film you’ll watch all year. And the posters, as amazing as they are, are just a taste of the fantastic world that you’ll enter with these Kings Ff Summer.

  20. All five of these posters are quite visually stunning and although I have only seen the film’s trailer, seem to embody the coming of age themes and sense of youthful independence that the film explores. Each have their own unique style and are very edgy in their creative direction. Particularly impressed with poster #1 showing the text flowing liberally down the river stream. Can’t wait to see the film!!!

  21. I just saw this film last night in Vancouver at 5th Ave. Cinemas on Burrard. Even though I am a fan of super hero and action films I was looking for something different. This definitely brought out that summer feeling of freedom and reminded me of the best years of my life. I am going to see this film again and dragging two new friends with me next week. What a way to start the summer!
