Jermaine Rogers has just completed the Deftones 2013 Spring Tour series of 10 prints. The final 4 prints of the series (Orlando, Corpus Christi, Austin, and Houston) are done. This poster was created for the first show for Season 39 of Austin City Limits. It depicts a melancholy Olympic sized pool frozen and empty during a snow storm. We were concepting ideas for this poster when a mini-blizzard rolled into Chicago. It reminded us of all the snow NYC got in 2013 so we trekked out into the white outdoors and took pictures of this pool. We thought it represented Vampire Weekend quite well since their music is so summer-like, and even islandy, but they are decidedly from NYC – a strange dichotomy just like a frozen public pool. Maxx242, Jeff Soto, and Munk One combined their artistic talent to create this awesome poster based off the live painting they created at the Pearl Jam 3rd Annual Ten Club Rock N’ Art Poster Convention in Seattle, WA. It is a 36″ x 18″ 8-color Screenprint, signed/numbered edition of 165, and cost $90. On sale Tuesday, March 26th sometime between 11am PDT and 1pm PDT at each of the artists website at F4D Studios, PotatoStamp, and Invisible Industries.
