Mondo closes out the 2011 year with a pair of movie posters by Martin Ansin and Tom Whalen. 2011 was a very strong year for Mondo with fresh new ventures such as their ‘Mondo Mystery Movie’ events, to their presence at the San Diego Comic Con. In taking a look at their output for 2011, it’s clear that they are at the forefront of this burgeoning movie poster scene. Looking forward to a exciting 2012 from them.

“Dracula” is a 24″ x 36″ Screenprint with a regular (Ed of 350, $45), a metallic (Ed of 100, $85), and a wood variant (Ed of 75, $135). “Two-Gun Mickey” is a 18″ x 24″ Screenprint, numbered edition of 370, and cost $45.

A Gremlins Christmas from Mondo

Mondo has a whole bunch of Gremlins related merchandise planned for release later this week starting with Ken Taylor’s “Gremlins” movie poster first seen yesterday at a special screening in Austin. Also, there will be a “Spider Gremlin” poster figure with 20 points of articulation drawn by Ken Taylor, and printed and assembled by Moon Editions. And finally, there will be a “Gremlins 2” movie poster done by Phantom City Creative.

“My Neighbor Totoro” by Olly Moss (Mondo release)

Mondo announced today of their new partnership with Studio Ghibli, the renown Japanese animation and film studio which have featured classic anime movies such as Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away and Ponyo. The first poster in this series is “My Neighbor Totoro” by Olly Moss.

It is a 20″ x 36″ Screenprint, with a regular (Ed of 420, $50) and a variant (Ed of 170, $90) version. On sale Friday, December 16th at a random time HERE.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema/Mondo is pleased to present a 6 print series by Kevin Tong, each based on a legendary story from Grimm’s Fairy Tales. They’ll all have editions of 225 (plus 95 metallic gold variants) and will be released every Thursday for the next six weeks. This week’s entry is based on “Rapunzel”.

“Cowboys & Aliens” by Florian Bertmer (Mondo release)

Mondo has released info on the long awaited “Cowboys & Aliens” poster done by Florian Bertmer. This release will coincide with the release of the “Cowboys & Aliens” Extended Edition on Blu-ray Combo Pack.

It is a 24″ x 36″ Screenprint and will cost $45. Further details (editon size, variant?) may be released later. On sale Tuesday, December 6th HERE.

After an impressive Mondo debut with his Jurassic Park print, artist JC Richard continues to capture us all wide-eyed with frenzy with his latest release, “Fortress of Solitude”. This comes on the heels of Mondo’s announcement of their new partnership with DC Comics in what will surely be an exciting 2012 year for them. So many future comics and movie possibilities await, and certainly the speculation of the many talented artists to be involved are already starting.

“Fortress of Solitude” is a 12″ x 32″ Screenprint, with an edition of 390 and will cost $50.

In addition to “Fortress of Solitude”, Mondo will be releasing “Adventure Time” by Mike Mitchell on Black Friday. Mondo teamed up with Cartoon Network and this is the first of the Adventure Time series!

There will be two versions: Both are 18″ x 36″ Screenprints, the regular (Edition of 220, $40) and the variant (Edition of 90, $65)
