“This is my re-imagining of Jean Baptiste DuSable’s home built on the site of what would become Chicago in 1779. A swampy place, Chicago was named after the native american word for “Stinking Onion”, a term which could be applied toward our modern day politics here in the Windy City.” -Dan Grzeca

Direct from Phone Booth Gallery:

phone booth gallery the time is now

Phone Booth Gallery is extremely proud to present a printed art project conceived more than a year in advance, “The Time is Now,” featuring three of the most sought after regional and international artists in the print community.

Each print is a signed and numbered limited edition, the size of the edition is decided by the number of prints sold within a week long period. Each print will be available individually for one week only. After the project is over, the prints will no longer be available. There will be no second editions. There will be no reprints.

We understand those not familiar with timed editions may have some questions, please direct any questions to phoneboothgallery@gmail.com and we’d be happy to discuss the project details with you further. For those familiar with timed editions, THE TIME IS NOW.

The official schedule is as follows:

July 6th: The project begins with an exciting announcement introducing the scope and schedule, introduces the concept of a timed edition, and opens a Q&A via phoneboothgallery@gmail.com with any questions.

July 13th: Announce first artist and unveil the full print. The first print will be available from July 13th to July 20th. All three prints available both unframed and framed – individually and as a group, the additional two will be blind editions.

July 20th: Announce second artist and unveil the full print. The second print will be available from July 20th to July 27th. The first print becomes no longer available on its own, but is still available as a set of three – both unframed and framed.

July 27th: Announce third artist and unveil the full print. The third print will be available from July 27th to August 3rd. The second print becomes no longer available on its own, but is still available as a set of three – both unframed and framed.
