Television plays a crucial role in our lives, influencing our opinions, actions, and daily routine. It is only natural that the small screen would also influence art, linking the two through memorable stories and images. Bottleneck Gallery has decided to embrace this connection and commission an incredible group of artists for “More Than You Imagined: Art Inspired by Premium Cable.” This exciting and entertaining exhibit will feature work influenced by some of the most popular HBO, Showtime, and Starz programs, giving you a reason to get off of the couch.

Opening this Friday, September 7th at 7pm at Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn NY, it marks their grand opening of this gallery. A must see!

***Any remaining prints will be available online the following day, Saturday September 8th around 12pm Eastern (9am PDT) HERE.

***UPDATE: Due to website server issues, the release of these prints have been rescheduled to Sunday, September 9th at a random time HERE.

Special Events:

1) The first 10 out of an edition 25 8.5 x 11 Mark Englert screenprint flyer version A (seen below) will be put on ebay and 100% of all sales will goto Michael J Fox Foundation. The auction will start Thursday September 6th @ 7:30PM and last till Sunday. (Attached image).

2) People who purchase 2 or more prints in store will receive Screenprint version B of the flyer that will be shown day of the show for free. That edition is of 75. All leftovers will be put on Ebay as well with 100% proceeds going to Michael J Fox Foundation.

3) 411posters will be holding a giveaway for Mark Englert screenprint flyer version A at a later date 🙂

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Andy Warhol’s iconic “32 Campbell’s Soup Cans”, Target is featuring limited edition Warhol-inspired Campbell’s Soup cans. Sold exclusively at Target and produced with the approval of (and a license from) The Andy Warhol Foundation, they will cost 75 cents each and will be available in stores starting Sunday, September 2nd. I wonder how many will actually be consumed and how many will end up on display next to your Warhol reproduction print? 😉

“Pale Horse” by Snowblinded

Snowblinded (Anthony Cozzi) has a new print available for pre-sale. It is part of the 4th annual Artcrank Denver. Artcrank uses creativity to change the way people think about bicycles and grow the cycling community. The event will take place Saturday, September 1st at the Taxi Freight Building, from noon till 10pm. “Pale Horse” is a 24″ x 18″ Screenprint, signed/numbered edition of 50, and cost $40. Blisters The Directors Cut

Blisters The Directors Cut curated by Print Club London, will be hosted once again in the stunning MC Motors venue next door to Print Club’s Studio on Friday 31st August (Private View 6-10pm) and Saturday 1st September (12-5pm). Blisters The Directors Cut will be showcasing 40 Screenprints by established artists and newbies to the scene alike. This year all the posters are derived from movies including The Royal Tenenbaums, Star Wars, The Outsiders, Metropolis, Planet Of The Apes and Psycho. There are 40 total artists involved, each contributing a Screenprint with an edition size of 40, and cost £40 ($63US) each.
