Weekend Features: Jonathan LeVine Gallery presents, “Migration” by Josh Keyes

Gallery Openings/Exhibitions

The very talented Josh Keyes had his opening exhibition titled “Migration” tonight at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. The key theme of the show was if a ‘what if’ scenario occurred where animals from separate ecological zones were forced together due to environmental changes in the global climate. A relevant scenario as we enter a modern world.

A notable centerpiece of the show was a 10′ x 5′ canvas painting titled “Stampede”. His largest painting to date. Below are highlights of this exhibition.

In addition, although no prints were available at this show, there are 2 prints planned based on works at this show which will be revealed at a later date. Also, from what I hear, it will be an online sale. No lottery.

Update: “Scorch I” by Josh Keyes

This just in from Spoke Art:

“Due to the overwhelming support and demand from shark lovers and Josh Keyes fans worldwide, PangeaSeed, Josh Keyes and Spoke Art have decided to raise the edition size of “Scorch 1″ from 150 to 350 signed and numbered prints. We have chosen to do this so as to help raise more money for the cause, and so that we can provide more fans and supporters with the art that they have shown such great interest in. The first 150 prints of the edition will still be available at Spoke Art in San Francisco tomorrow, Friday September 23rd, with the remaining 200 prints being released online at a later date.- Spoke Art”

I personally couldn’t be happier by this new development because this now increases the slight chance that I can get one of these now. Stay tuned everyone!

Also, for a preview list of works available at the show, email spokeartgallery@gmail.com and they’ll get right back to you.
