Spoke Art SF presents: ‘Anthropomorphized Anomalies’ by David Welker

Gallery Openings / Exhibitions

Spoke Art is pleased to present ‘Anthropomorphized Anomalie’s, a solo exhibition by acclaimed New York-based artist and illustrator David Welker. Exploring architecture, fish and landscape in his signature surreal style, Welker has created a dynamic range of original drawings and limited edition prints.

Working primarily with ink and graphite on paper and vellum, Welker has returned to subjects that fascinated him as a child – the anthropomorphic qualities found in objects in his environment. In this latest body of work, the artist imbues poisonous fish, buildings, landscapes and vehicles with humanistic qualities and a life of
their own.

Please join us for Anthropomorphized Anomalies, opening Saturday, June 3rd, with an opening night reception from 6pm-9pm. The exhibition will be on view through Saturday, June 24th. For more information or additional images, please email us at SF@spokeart.com
