Bottleneck Gallery presents – KONG Skull Island: Tribe of Kong Art Show

This weekend, Bottleneck Gallery is celebrating one of cinema’s largest, classic creatures: KING KONG! With Kong: Skull Island being unleashed in theaters on March 10th, they’re teaming up with Warner Bros. and The Legendary Art Series to bring you Tribe of Kong–a wild pop-up gallery paying artistic tribute to the legendary movie monster and his return to the big screen.

Tribe of Kong will be a limited pop-up gallery that features pieces from different artists as well as the creative team at Legendary. There will also be plenty of fan art and fun marketing materials from the the Kong: Skull Island movie! The pop-up gallery launch party will be Friday (3/3) from 6 to 9pm at Bottleneck. Admission is FREE and there will be catered food, full open bar as well as some awesome giveaways for the Monday screening premiere at the Alamo Draft House in Brooklyn, NY!

In addition, they’ll be releasing three brand new Kong: Skull Island prints from Karl Fitzgerald. Reserve your print at the show opening. Online sale on Saturday, March 4th at 12pm Eastern (9am PST) HERE.

Presenting work from Galerie F’s seven feature artists, “7” is an exhibition to celebrate new beginnings with Galerie F and a bigger and better year than the last one with our seven featured talents. JC Rivera, Sentrock and Mosher represent our street art commitment keeping it local with big talent. Designer Justin Van Genderen and illustrator Andrew Ghrist are in our print-making corner with knockout prints released for our first exhibition. Chuck Sperry’s ‘Helikon’ exhibition at Spoke Art

SPOKE NYC is pleased to pleased to present HELIKON, a new solo exhibition featuring the work of San Francisco based artist Chuck Sperry. Following his two wildly successful solo exhibitions in Los Angeles (2015) and San Francisco (2014), Sperry continues to expand his on-going Muses series with a new set of screen-printed editions on oak panel. In addition to these new works, a selection of rare gig posters from Sperry’s personal archive will be displayed, all custom-framed and fully archival, highlighting a comprehensive segment of rock poster history.

Dan Grzeca’s Top 20” will highlight twenty songs, pieces of music, musicians and bands that have inspired him over the past two decades. Music is an intangible experience that unites us all by way of rhythm and an intrinsic understanding of the human experience that transcends language. It is a great challenge to bring this movement to paper but Grzeca’s work is at the pinnacle of capturing the experience. Galerie F is thrilled to be working with not only a Chicago printmaking icon but also one of the foremost gig poster designers of our time.

The exhibition opening will take place from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, October 28th.

‘High Phi’ prints by Jim Pollock

Jim Pollock, one of the most quirky, influential and highly collectible rock poster artists of the past century has created a new strain of artwork to be showcased at Galerie F beginning Friday, September 23, 2016. In June, Galerie F hosted a tremendously successful 30 Year Retrospective event that spanned Pollock’s long and illustrious career. The artist’s rock star status was confirmed by the line that formed around the block where the gallery is located the night before the two-day retrospective opened.
