This weekend, Bottleneck Gallery is celebrating one of cinema’s largest, classic creatures: KING KONG! With Kong: Skull Island being unleashed in theaters on March 10th, they’re teaming up with Warner Bros. and The Legendary Art Series to bring you Tribe of Kong–a wild pop-up gallery paying artistic tribute to the legendary movie monster and his return to the big screen.
Tribe of Kong will be a limited pop-up gallery that features pieces from different artists as well as the creative team at Legendary. There will also be plenty of fan art and fun marketing materials from the the Kong: Skull Island movie! The pop-up gallery launch party will be Friday (3/3) from 6 to 9pm at Bottleneck. Admission is FREE and there will be catered food, full open bar as well as some awesome giveaways for the Monday screening premiere at the Alamo Draft House in Brooklyn, NY!

Dark Hall Mansion is proud to reveal its latest entry in the DHM Seminal Film Series of limited edition print releases, 1933’s classic, “King Kong,” by artist Nicolas Delort. It is a 20″ x 30″ 5-color Screenprint on foil available in Regular (Ed of 280, $70) and Variant (Ed of 70, $100) editions.
There will also be two select, giclee printed canvas editions, one with Nicolas’ unique and moody lavender color scheme, the other based on Nicolas’ original B&W vision each editions of 10 and cost $250 each.

This month the Galerie F artists will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of the premiere of the groundbreaking film “King Kong.” Four astounding artists and designers have taken a crack at this iconic ape that has dominated special effects history in film. John Vogl, Alternate Histories, Justin VanGenderen, and Michael Lauritano have created exclusive one-of-a-kind designs, check out a few previews below.
