“Interesting approach to framing up a wood piece. This Bannon is mounted on a linen backing with no glass. Beautiful piece.”

“This is a pretty amazing frame-up of an absolutely amazing Horkey piece. The texture of the frame mirrors the intricately detailed wrinkles of the Rhinoceros.”

“For the custom framing of this piece we used all archival materials including a soft-white matting and a touch of golden yellow to accent the yellows in the artwork, along with a classy black frame with curves and line details to enhance the “star of the show” and create contrast against the blue of the poster. -Karen W. “I thought I’d end this weeks ‘Framed Art Phenomena’ on an interesting note. These are digitally manipulated series of frames by Taylor Holland titled ‘Fra[me’s]‘. It first came about when he visited the Louvre museum and found himself more engaged with the decorative and ornate frames rather than the art masterpieces that it surrounded. He is Currently partnering with Saintill Lijsten (Haarlem, NL) to realize a physical prototype of this project by taking antique frames and filling them with hand-crafted molds. “
