“For The Birds, From Below” by James R Eads

Collectionzz proudly announces Art Unleashed: Rock Art for a Cause, a collaboration with many extraordinary artists from around the world, with two goals. Our first goal is to raise money for charity, and we will be donating all profits from the sales of the art to the charities of the artists’ choices. Our second goal is to exclusively bring to our members some of the most phenomenal rock art they’ve ever seen!

Many of the artists who are a part of Art Unleashed: Rock Art for a Cause are very well-recognized within the world of rock and gig posters, with undeniable trademark styles they’ve honed over several decades. But we didn’t stop there — we are including top artists across many genres. From tattoo artists and muralists, to those who work in the film industry and create fine art. To create original and interpretive art, we asked the artists to use a song as inspiration, and harness their guttural reactions to the music itself, without limitation. We will announce the songs that inspired the art when we announce the sale dates, however, they range all the way from the psychedelic rock of the 60’s and 70’s to the grunge and alternative music movements of the late-80’s and 90’s.”

On sale Thursday, May 17th at 2pm Eastern (11am PDT) HERE.

The variant edition is printed on holographic rainbow foil, and is signed and numbered out of 50 and is $100.00. They also have 20 out of the 50 variant editions that have been remarqued by James that are $125.00 each.

“Scar Tissue is one of those songs that I had on repeat as a teenager. There’s a lot of nostalgia built into this song for me, I remember the music video playing on MTV and it really capturing that California desert vibe to perfection. With this piece I wanted to pay homage to the music video setting of Joshua Tree, which has become one of my favorite places in Southern California. The main hook of the song “with the birds I share this lonely view” was the driving inspiration for this piece. There is something comforting about the isolation of driving through the desert – you can see the raw beauty of the sunsetting for miles and miles. “I decided on NAMI for my charity because there are a lot of people I have loved that have struggled and still struggle with mental illness and NAMI has been a great foundation for providing education and support on mental illness.” James R. Eads

Dream Tracks: Five New Limited Edition Screenprints by James R Eads

Direct from James:

I spent several months in 2017 working on this series of prints called “Dream Tracks”. Inspired by my slipping sleep and the time I have spent in dreamworld, the idea behind this collection was to create a group of images that could be considered a visual EP album. The five limited edition screenprints are housed in a traditional two-fold record jacket with accompanying liner notes.

The liner notes are five poems that I wrote based on what things come to us and what we may find when we are somewhere in between drifting through dreams.

Each print in the “Dream Tracks EP” is a 12″ x 12″ seven color screenprint printed in a limited edition. Prints will be available individually but if purchased as a set, the five prints come housed in a custom designed two-fold record jacket printed with liner notes for each piece on the inside of the jacket. Record Jackets are only available with the full set of five prints. There will only be 300 full sets in circulation.

Each print will be available in a white paper edition of 125 as well as in smaller foil editions. If bought as a set prints will have matching numbers.

This entire project was commissioned by Posters 4 People and will be available exclusively through their online shop on Thursday, January 11th at 11am PST HERE.
