“Devil Town” @ Gallery1988 (Melrose)

Gallery Openings/Exhibitions

danger devil town 2

Join us this tomorrow night, Friday December 2nd, from 7-10 PM at Gallery1988 (Melrose) as we open “Devil Town,” a group show curated by artist Daniel Danger, featuring over 15 artists all creating pieces inspired by Danger’s idea of “rural and distant suburbs, dead farmlands [and] quiet and dark towns…”

A departure from the pop culture focus Gallery1988 has had for the past few years, “Devil Town” focuses on landscapes and desolate settings, telling a story with almost every detail missing, besides the location. The work for this show is stunning, lead by Daniel’s prints and original work, and is an exhibit you can not miss.

Weekend Features: Jonathan LeVine Gallery presents, “Migration” by Josh Keyes

Gallery Openings/Exhibitions

The very talented Josh Keyes had his opening exhibition titled “Migration” tonight at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. The key theme of the show was if a ‘what if’ scenario occurred where animals from separate ecological zones were forced together due to environmental changes in the global climate. A relevant scenario as we enter a modern world.

A notable centerpiece of the show was a 10′ x 5′ canvas painting titled “Stampede”. His largest painting to date. Below are highlights of this exhibition.

In addition, although no prints were available at this show, there are 2 prints planned based on works at this show which will be revealed at a later date. Also, from what I hear, it will be an online sale. No lottery.
