Framed Art Phenomena
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. -William Faulkner

"Frankenstein" by Drew Struzan. Pic provided by Pineapple T.
“I chose this because the frame really added to the artwork but needed a mat to not clash with the artwork (compete for attention). I was going to go with a Burgandy under the grey mat however it also competed too much so I went with 2″ basic grey mat with the frame. -Pineapple T.”

"Gangsta Rat" by Banksy. Pic provided by Claire D.
“I thought that double framing it would give it double impact and the gloss frame is so much crisper than a mount board. Plus the glass sits between the two frames which gives it extra depth. Hope you like it as much as I do! -Claire D (Double framed, wow!)”

“Red seems to go well with Rhys Cooper posters and this is one looks great. Rhys is killing it this past year!”

"Elements of Everyone" by Miss Bugs. Pic provided by Mandy S.
“White on white frame/mat setup is always a sure thing for Miss Bugs art prints. This duo of prints owned by Mandy must look great together hung up against some white walls.”

"Kissy Kitty" by Casey Weldon. Pic provided by Mark E.
“Got the frame at a thrift store and cut the mats myself. Really wanted to go over the top on this piece, like something you’d see hanging up in a looney Grandmas’s house. -Mark E.”

“These two similar frame ups by different artists look great. I think that the off-white/cream mat really compliments and adds a soft warmth to these 2 already organic images.”
