Hero Complex Gallery and the talented artist group, Planet Pulp, are pleased to announce their next show together; a pop culture art event dedicated to the color RED opening this Friday! Red is a very powerful color and it’ll be interesting to see the artists use of this color. Cool concept.

Opening Reception and Online Giveaway:
They will be giving (1) metal variant of Craig Drake’s newest print “Blade Runner” inspired by the film. All customers with purchases of $100 or more will be automatically entered to win.

In addition, HCG will be holding a timed edition release of Craig Drake’s “Spinner” print. Hero Complex Gallery is proud to announce their next exhibition on May 24th, 2013, Arch Nemesis – an art show focusing on Bad Guys…on the Villains, Rogues, and Scoundrels of the world. And what good is a Nemesis show without a few heroes to kick around!

Opening Reception AND Online Giveaway:

They will be giving away (1) maple wood variant of Laurent Durieux’s “Peter Pan (Peter and Wendy)”…and if that wasn’t enough, they will ALSO be giving away (1) metal variant of Craig Drake’s “Predator”, inspired by the film of the same name. One will be awarded to opening night customers and one will be awarded to online customers.

Hero Complex Gallery is proud to announce their next exhibition on May 3rd, 2013, Righteous Rides…And the Dudes Who Drive Them – a show focusing on the exhilarating…and often creative ways…of getting around. From skateboards to spaceships, anything that rolls, races, flies, or crashes can be counted in this high-throttled, tour de force that celebrates your favorite modes of transportation and the characters who drive them!

Millennium Falcon, Akira, Ghostbusters, Pussywagon, District 9, Steve McQueen, Silver Surfer, Spaceballs, Drive, X-Men….even a flying house…basically anything you can think of that takes place in and around your favorite modes of moving from one place to another. This exhibition features original works of art from a diverse roster of illustrators, painters, and printmakers.

Opening Reception: Friday, May 3rd, 6pm-late
All ages – no cover – copious beverages – music – artists in attendance

Coming up this Friday presented by Hero Complex Gallery is a DUAL exhibition: Oscar Legends & Weapon of Choice – Phase 2. On one side of the gallery Oscar Legends will feature art inspired by some of history’s most groundbreaking Oscar-winning films. On the other side of the gallery, we will be presenting Weapon of Choice, Phase 2. The first Weapon of Choice show in January proved to be such a huge hit with the fans and the artists that they will be presenting all new art from artists who wanted to take a stab at this sweeping eclectic theme. Hero Complex Gallery is locked and loaded to open up their inaugural show in Los Angeles next week titled, Weapon of Choice. And from the looks of it, it’ll be smashing. The theme revolves around art inspired by prominent characters of fiction, historical reference, or pop culture, and their relationship with their iconic “weapon,” that one thing that is inextricably tied to their character. Inspired! Opens Friday, January 11th 7-11pm.
