3 new prints by Joe Black
As part of his No More Heroes triptych, Joe Black is releasing 3 new prints tomorrow. Each print is a 56cm x 80cm Giclee, with silk screen gloss and hand finished with gold leaf, oil paint, and Karisma pencil detailing. Very nice. Controversy and conspiracy are common themes in Aelhra’s “LIE” series. This new upcoming trio of prints are no exception. LIE 3,4, & 5 will be sold as a set and come in either a regular set ($60) or a hand-deckled ($90) set. Really cool looking new print by Prefab features heavy layers of handpainted acrylic paint, followed by a high gloss black screenprint. Andy Kehoe has made a print available through Tiny Showcase. Tiny Showcase is doing great things by making art available at a friendly price, while donating a portion of the proceeds to a charity of the artists choice. Kehoe has selected The Sprout Fund as his charity of choice. Grafter continues with the daisy theme in his latest print. “Gilding the Lily” was made using 5 hand cut stencils and freehand colouring with hand applied random splashes, making each individual piece unique. Some prints may include extra colours within the flower. I’m looking forward to seeing all the different variations of this piece once people start posting individual pics of their prints. Kevin Tong is also releasing a batch of his Artist Proofs from previous Mondo releases. There will be two versions. A regular (silver version) and a San Diego ComicCon exclusive (gold version). Tom Whalen, is planning on selling his copies of the “Star Trek” and “Paul” movie posters that were originally released by Mondo. These copies are artist proofs (AP) and are signed and numbered.
