A note from the artist:

I have always been a huge fan of the “space race era” and space exploration in general. I had wanted to create a print that captured the feeling of awe and wonder that we Americans shared back on that night in 1969. When it was broadcast live on TV that man had first set foot on the moon.

I was getting ready to print last week when I heard that Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos had found the Apollo 11 booster rockets and was planning to recover them. I couldn’t believe that the timing of his announcement coincided with my latest art print. I’m glad that private individuals like Bezos are able to pick up the mantle held by NASA for so long and continue to try and explore space.

I hope that future generations can feel that same sense of awe and wonder and be inspired as I have been.

  1. Why do you copy everything omg posters and inside the rock poster frames puts on their websites ? If it wasn’t for them you would not have anything.

    • Both those websites are excellent websites. They are many other great poster blogs as well. The poster/print community is very tight knit, and information overlaps at times. However, if you are a viewer of each one, including mine for some time, I think you’ll find that we each have our own unique voice and focus in this whole world of art print/poster collecting. Thanks for your input!

      • Yeah… Dex you’ve obviously not been comparing for too long:)
Both Great Poster Blogs. many different prints grace the pages of one that do Not see the light of day on the Other. straight up.

  2. Hey Dexter,

What you consider ‘copying’, I consider as ‘reporting’. I report what I find relevant and interesting in the art print/poster world. As do many of the other sites, and rightfully so. And the mass majority of my info flow either comes directly from the artist/gallery themselves, or through mailing lists, art forums, and sifting through a large collection of bookmarked artist/gallery websites. Ever wonder why all the major news outlets (CNN, NBC, USA Today etc..) all report similar content? Do I need to answer why?

I’d focus less on how content is posted on these blogs and look at it as a positive for the artists to get more coverage on the internets. No specific print/poster is sacred or exclusive to any specific poster blog. That doesn’t make sense. If you have any additional concerns, please take it out of this thread and email me at : admin@411posters.com
