Spoke Art is proud to present: KUBRICK – An art show tribute to the films of Stanley Kubrick. Over 60 artists were invited to re-imagine their favorite characters, scenes and thematic concepts from one of the world’s most prolific directors. Spanning a plethora of mediums from sculpture and painting to limited edition prints, the show seeks to honor one of the 20th century’s most significant directors while also reinterpreting his impact in a contemporary context.

KUBRICK- An Art Show Tribute will debut on Saturday, September 6th, from 6pm – 10pm. There is no cover charge, complimentary beverages will be served and some artists will be in attendance. The exhibition will be on view until September 27th.

Please join Bottleneck Gallery on Friday, August, 29th, as they open James White (Signalnoise)’s solo exhibition, CELSCAPES.

“Being a child of the 1980s, Saturday mornings were spent in front of the television with a bowl of cereal watching all of my favourite cartoons. What always struck me about those classic shows, such as Spider-man, Masters of the Universe, Scooby-Doo and the Superfriends were the beautifully hand-painted backgrounds. Sadly, that form of animation has faded away. CELSCAPES is a celebration of those classic painted backgrounds, depicting scenes from films, television and cartoons.” – James White.

The opening reception will take place from 7pm-10pm.

Mark Englert returns to G1988 with the second installment to his Director Series. The opening reception will run Friday, August 8th from 7-10 PM and he will release the first set of prints that night, as well as originals he’s created. Please join Bottleneck Gallery on August 8th, as over 70 artists from around the world, pay tribute to classic and modern video games. We have invited over 70 artists from around the world to pay tribute to some of the most important games of our generation and we honestly couldn’t be more proud of the submissions for the show.

The opening reception will take place from 7pm-9pm eastern. As always, admission and drinks are free.

***Also, following the opening reception, Bottleneck will be hosting an official screening of the Fred Savage blockbuster, “The Wizard”, at Videology on 308 Bedford Ave. The screening is free and will start at 10pm. Limited seating.

A movie poster for the event will be on sale as well. The 18 x 24 screen print by Kyle Crawford is numbered out of an edition of 50 and cost $40.

Spoke Art is proud to present: Quentin vs. Coen – An art show tribute to the films of Tarantino and the Coen Brothers. Over 60 artists were invited to reinterpret their favorite scenes, characters and films from the prolific directors, resulting in an eclectic showing of inspirational fine art.

Showcasing a plethora of original works from painting and sculpture to limited edition screen prints and digital works, Quentin vs Coen demonstrates a wide range of mediums and practices.

Quentin vs Coen will debut on Saturday, July 5th, from 6pm – 10pm. There is no cover charge, complimentary beverages will be served and some artists will be in attendance. The exhibition will be on view until July 26th.
