Last Call: Amazing Works Still Available

In Martin Wittfooth’s powerful images of animals struggling with it’s coexistence with the modern world, one common theme is prevalent: abandonment. Whether this is a commentary on mankinds affect on nature, or possibly a mirror image of ourselves, Wittfooth’s paintings come across so strong that I feel the animals struggles in each image and begin to question what kind of footprint humans are really leaving in the generations to come.

“I aspire to portray my animals occasionally as mirrors of ourselves, as allegories for our own follies and burdens.” -Martin Wittfooth (via arrestedmotion)
